Microgaming announced recently they are introducing a new poker app to Android devices. This app plays for real money and is available to members of poker rooms from LadBrokes, UniBet and PokerTime.

US players are shut out for the time being, because Microgaming does not allow US players to hold accounts. However, it still is exciting news to poker players as it shows how online play has evolved to the mobile device.

A demo of the app will be shown at the gaming industry event, ICE Totally Gaming Show in London next week. ICE expects 19,000 attendees, and brings together all facets of the gambling industry.

Players will test the program against the Full Tilt mobile version of their poker room and see how they match up. Full Tilt’s module offers a poker room operating on Rush Poker format, where players are covering a single table and are dealt a new hand once you fold without waiting.

Microgaming enters the ring with their app cloaked in a little mystery. There’s no telling yet if the app will mirror a real online poker game or be scaled-down in certain ways. However, the online poker world have embraced bwin and Full Tilt Poker mobile apps and interest continues to grow.
