The security threat to private account information that happened to UB Poker and Absolute poker customers was a serious issue earlier this year. However Cereus Poker network, who runs these top online gambling sites, has introduced a new security measure that will make their players feel safe. Joe Sebok, a UB sponsored pro stated, “We are committed to doing everything possible to safeguard our network and players and we want to provide every option to boost personal security, particularly those who keep sick amounts of cash in their accounts day-to-day.”
Players of UB Poker and Absolute poker sites will now be able to buy a security token for theirr account. This will add an extra wall of protection to the security measures already in place against hackers. The security token cost is 6,500 points at either of the site’s Frequent Player Points store.
The token will be electronically coded to the player’s account on UB Poker or Absolute Poker’s servers, then mailed to the client. The player then loads the token on their online poker software. The Cereus Poker security token gives a player a random and unique numeric code to login to the site’s software each time the log in.
