The 2011 Aussie Millions tournament in Melbourne, Australia didn’t disappoint fans or players today. This year there were 721 entries and a staggering $7.21M AUD prize pool. The winner of the final table takes $2M AUD and the Aussie Millions ring. The action was hot as the Main Event drew to a close with pros in the top spots.
This is the biggest buy-in tournament in the world. The Main Event began with 76 players and all made money except four. This Main Event exceeded expectations over last year, with a bigger fan turnout and international coverage. It ended with the elimination of Carter Phillips and Julius Colman who split AUD$15,000.
The Full Tilt team was represented by Patrik Antonius who held the chip lead for some time. He lost it eventually to Chris Moorman and Mark Vos, but ended up moving on to 7th place in Friday’s continuation. Antonius holds 958,000 in chips, Vos with 1,200,000 and Moorman 1,643.000.
